UAE, Saudi Arabia deepen collaboration on transparency and accountability
Both sides will exchange expertise, strengthen institutional capacity, and establish permanent channels for cooperation, data sharing, and modern oversight practices.
The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) and Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in anti-corruption, governance, and oversight.
The agreement highlights the close ties between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, reflecting their shared goal of enhancing institutional coordination among Gulf integrity bodies.
It aims to boost government efficiency, promote transparency and accountability, and support the stability of the region’s administrative and economic systems.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAEAA, and Mazin Al-Kahmous, President of Nazaha.
Under the agreement, the two authorities will exchange expertise, build institutional capacity, and create permanent channels for technical cooperation, data sharing, and the adoption of modern oversight practices.
The partnership also focuses on advancing administrative investigation capabilities, leveraging data-driven analysis, and integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into oversight processes.
In addition, both authorities plan to launch joint training and professional development programs to strengthen national competencies and enhance institutional readiness for future challenges, including efforts to combat cross-border corruption.
The memorandum reflects the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s shared commitment to developing a regional model of effective oversight that supports sustainable development.
