UAE secures 10th spot in Global Soft Power ranking, as nation’s brand value hits $1.2 Trillion
The UAE ranked 4th in Future Growth Potential and Generosity, 7th in Economic Strength and Stability, and 8th in Influence.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has secured a significant position in the global arena, ranking 10th in the 2025 Global Soft Power Index, according to a report by Brand Finance. The nation’s brand value also surged to $1.223 trillion, reflecting its growing global influence.
The index, which surveyed 173,000 business leaders, policymakers, and civil society figures across 193 countries, highlighted the UAE’s strong performance in key areas.
Notably, the nation ranked 4th in both Future Growth Potential and Generosity. It also achieved 7th place in Economic Strength and Stability, 8th in Influence, and 9th in both International Relations and Diplomatic Influence as well as Advanced Technology and Innovation.
Additionally, the UAE ranked 10th in Space Exploration and Global Engagement, reflecting its broad impact and dynamic international presence.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, emphasized the UAE’s role as a trusted global partner, attributing the nation’s success to the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the UAE’s 8th ranking in “Influence” and 9th in “Influential in diplomatic circles,” underscoring its expanding impact on global affairs.
Beyond soft power, the UAE’s economic strength was evident. The nation ranked second globally in “Ease of Doing Business,” driven by investor-friendly policies and advanced infrastructure. In 2024 alone, 200,000 new businesses were registered.
The UAE’s diversification efforts have also paid off, with non-oil foreign trade exceeding $762 billion in 2024. The nation’s commitment to innovation was further demonstrated by its 9th ranking in “Technology and Innovation” and 10th in “Space Exploration.”
The UAE’s ability to capture global attention, ranking 10th in “Affairs I Follow Closely,” was attributed to its strategic communication and hosting of major international events, including Expo 2020. The report reinforces the UAE’s position as a dynamic and influential global player.
