UAE unveils Sportifai, AI-powered platform to transform national sports ecosystem by 2031
The platform will focus on governance, athlete development, and collaboration among National Sports Councils, Federations, and Clubs.

The UAE Ministry of Sports has unveiled Sportifai, a new artificial intelligence-powered digital platform designed to accelerate the country’s transformation into a leading sports nation, in line with the National Sports Strategy 2031.
Launched during the “Driving Digital Transformation in the UAE Sports Sector” workshop, Sportifai is set to become the digital backbone of the UAE’s sports ecosystem. It will focus on governance, athlete development, and collaboration among National Sports Councils, Federations, and Clubs.
Minister of Sports Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi described Sportifai as a catalyst for transforming the UAE’s sports landscape, emphasizing its role in enhancing smart governance, boosting performance, and increasing national competitiveness. He added that the platform supports the Zero Government Bureaucracy programme by simplifying services for sports federations.
Powered by AI and advanced technologies, Sportifai offers a comprehensive digital ecosystem with tools for talent identification, performance analysis, and data governance. It supports both elite and emerging athletes through a centralized infrastructure.
Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Undersecretary at the Ministry, highlighted the platform’s integrated systems for athlete data management and performance tracking, describing it as a “technological partner” for federations and clubs across the UAE.
Al Hajeri added that the platform will equip sports professionals with advanced digital tools while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the sports tech sector.
Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Development and Competitiveness, noted that Sportifai would ease administrative burdens and enable data-driven decisions, allowing specialists to focus on performance and talent development. He called it a key driver of improved athletic outcomes and long-term sector growth.
The workshop included sessions for federation presidents and technical staff, highlighting Sportifai’s core features and initiatives, such as the Talent Identification Platform, which will track athletes from early development to Olympic levels through unified digital records.
Sportifai was first introduced in March 2025 through a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Sports and the UAE National Olympic Committee. Key strategic partners include the UAE National Olympic Committee, the UAE Committee for Elite Sports, and the UAE Committee for Talent and National Sports Support. The private sector is also expected to play a critical role by contributing digital innovation and data analytics to support the platform’s long-term goals.
