WTM London is set to introduce its inaugural Leaders’ Summit on November 3, bringing together heads of national tourism boards and senior industry executives to address shared challenges, exchange best practices, and strengthen international cooperation.

The launch coincides with the 20th anniversary of the event’s Ministers’ Summit, marking an expansion of WTM London’s efforts to facilitate high-level discussions on the future of global tourism.

The invitation-only gathering will feature a series of discussions focused on accessibility, inclusion, and tourism investment, providing a platform for industry leaders to explore strategies for sustainable growth in the sector.

Spain, WTM London’s Accessibility Partner, will present its “Spain: A Country for All” initiative, highlighting the country’s efforts to advance accessibility and inclusion across its tourism sector.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will also host a panel discussion on the “Seven Principles of Investment,” moderated by Maribel Rodriguez, Executive Vice President for Destinations at WTTC. The session will feature a case study from Puerto Rico, alongside remarks from Gloria Guevara, President and CEO of WTTC.

The summit will be held on November 3, followed by the Ministers’ Summit on November 4, organized in association with UN Tourism and WTTC. While the Ministers’ Summit will be accessible to WTM London visitors, the Leaders’ Summit will remain exclusive to invited participants.

Chris Carter-Chapman, Event Director of WTM London, said the new gathering reflects the event’s commitment to fostering dialogue and cooperation among global tourism stakeholders.

“Our launch this year of the WTM Leaders’ Summit underscores our commitment to facilitating debate at the highest level, with a view to sharing knowledge, strengthening cross-border cooperation and ensuring a bright future for the travel industry,” he said.

He added that bringing national tourism boards together would create opportunities for leaders to engage with their international counterparts and exchange insights on common challenges.

“We believe adding this new annual fixture, alongside our Ministers’ Summit, helps cement WTM London’s reputation as the world’s most influential travel show,” Carter-Chapman said.

The new summit is intended to become an annual gathering, complementing the Ministers’ Summit and expanding opportunities for collaboration between national tourism organizations.
