Jewelry culture is alive and well in the hands of L’École, School of Jewelry Arts, which will open the doors to its newest venture in Dubai, establishing its first regional campus in April.

Curated by the world-renowned designer, interior architect, and scenographer Constance Guisset, the new site of L’École will be set in the Dubai Design District and aimed to give opportunities for cross-cultural exchanges through a program of activities, from courses to talks and exhibitions.

The classes will center on the history of jewelry, the world of gemstones, and the craftsmanship of jewelry-making techniques. Furthermore, they will be hands-on and led by art historians, gemologists, jewelers, and artisans.

Aside from the courses, L’École will offer various activities for the public interested in jewelry culture, including exhibitions, workshops, and in-person and online discussions.

“We are thrilled to see the new permanent campus of L’École opening in such a vibrant neighborhood in Dubai. Everything was made to create a welcoming space for visitors to discover the world of jewelry through our diverse activities, from courses and talks to exhibitions and children’s workshops,” said Lise Macdonald, President of L’École, School of Jewelry Arts.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District, said, “Nurturing skills across the diverse creative fields and fostering an engaged, collaborative community is the bedrock of a dynamic, resilient, creative economy. Institutions like L’École combine those pillars, allowing enthusiasts to express themselves creatively while empowering others to learn new skills under expert guidance.”

The Innovation By Design Summit is in Doha on April 24. Attendance at the summit is by invitation only. Delegates can register here to receive their exclusive invite.
