Are you ready for superheroes, fighting, motorcycles, explosions, and powers? Marvel Comics revolutionized the superhero genre in the 1960s with comic book characters such as Spider-Man, Thor, and Iron Man —colorfully costumed adventurers who fought criminals and alien monsters. 

Over 60 years later, the same Marvel characters make true believers of us all. The success of Marvel feature films over the last decade has moved superheroes from just an obsession of comic book fanboys to an international phenomenon. And now, Saudi fans of the Marvel franchise and superheroes can expect to see some of their favorite characters in a show in Jeddah.

Marvel Universe Live! shows will be staged from September 27 to October 20 at King Abdullah Sports City Hall, one of the production’s global tour stops.

Presented by US company Feld Entertainment Inc., the Guardians of the Galaxy superheroes will join forces against evil through a series of performances. The show’s producer, Juliette Grossman, says audiences can expect an action-filled adventure involving cutting-edge video displays, special effects, and aerial stunts. The show will also use motorcycles to save humanity in an intense race against time.

The production involves characters such as Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Doctor Strange on a mission to retrieve an ancient artifact known as the Wand of Watoomb before the antagonist Loki can get a hold of it and fulfill his evil plan of ruling the universe.  

The performances will take place twice a day, once at 4:30 PM and another at 8:30 PM, with tickets priced at $15.
