In Saudi Arabia, women’s workforce participation has more than doubled from 17.4% in 2017 to 36% in 2023, surpassing the 2030 targets.

To continue championing women leaders, Women Choice and PwC Academy Middle East have launched an accelerator program specifically designed for mid-career Saudi women. The program delivers workshops focused on upskilling and supporting them in advancing their careers.

Last month, the program ran a series of workshops that welcomed 25 women per session from diverse industries. This has helped equip Saudi women with leadership skills and business expertise. The first session covered the fundamentals of business development, touching upon best practices and case studies on how to build effective and long-lasting relationships with clients.

“The role of working women has evolved, and globally leaders recognize that boosting women’s participation in the workforce is not just a moral imperative, but also has a significant measurable impact on the sustained performance of the organization,” said Samar Sayegh, PwC Partner and PwC’s Academy Middle East Leader.

Nezha Alaoui, founder and CEO of Women Choice, said the accelerator program will bring more impactful results for women across industries in Saudi Arabia. “The first event was a full house with much positive feedback from attendees. We look forward to the next sessions and continuing this beautiful journey in Saudi Arabia.”
