For the third year, Meta has launched #LoveLocal, its annual holiday shopping campaign to support small and medium-sized enterprises and amplify their voices on Facebook and Instagram platforms.

The campaign features gift ideas from vendors around the Middle East and North Africa and encourages customers to support local sellers during the holiday season.

According to Meta’s recent Global State of Small Business Report, the festive season is critical for many small businesses, with 25% expecting to generate more than half of their yearly sales between October 1 and December 31.

This year, Meta has teamed with regional influencers and content creators to highlight unique gift ideas from local small businesses on Facebook and Instagram. According to the Ipsos 2022 Small Firm Study, an average of 89% of SMBs in the MENA region stated Meta applications helped their business expand.

“By launching #LoveLocal for the third consecutive year, we affirm our commitment to championing small businesses and getting them the attention they deserve,” said Fares Akkad, Meta’s regional director for MENA.
