NEOM Hotel Development is building a future-focused hospitality ecosystem in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a recent development, General Hotel Management (GHM)—the designer of chic hotels and resorts worldwide—announced a partnership with NEOM Hotel Development to manage the Chedi Trojena. Trojena, a mountain resort and the site of the 2029 Asian Winter Games, has added GHM as a second hotel partner.

The Chedi Trojena will be a part of a residential village in one of Trojena’s six clusters, and will be atop the mountain peaks. The design for the hotel will be infused with the kingdom’s rich historical past and an homage to Trojena’s futuristic architecture.

“The Chedi Trojena, a showcase of the region’s rich cultural and environmental heritage, is a perfect complement to our collection of unrivaled lifestyle experiences in the world’s most alluring destinations,” said Tommy Lai, CEO at GHM.

Commenting on the same, Philip Gullett, executive director and region head at Trojena, added the Chedi Trojena would serve as a luxurious sanctuary in the Gulf’s first outdoor ski resort, where world-class sporting events, art exhibitions, concerts, and cultural festivals will be staged.

Trojena’s construction got underway in December 2022, and it’s expected to host its first visitors in 2026. The mountain destination will offer visitors 30 kilometers of ski slopes, ultra-luxury and wellness hotels and resorts, and more than 100 indoor and outdoor experiences all year round.
