Uber has introduced a community-focused initiative in Dubai, placing “Pass It On” notebooks inside select vehicles to encourage riders to share handwritten messages of solidarity, appreciation, and unity for the UAE.
Rolled out over the past 10 days, the notebooks—titled “For the UAE, with Love”—invite passengers to reflect on their experiences and express gratitude during their journeys. Riders across the emirate have contributed notes celebrating the nation, its leadership, and the sense of togetherness that defines life in the UAE.
From simple words of thanks to heartfelt reflections, the entries highlight a shared appreciation for the country. Messages such as “Proud to call this country home,” “Together, we’re stronger,” and “Thank you to the UAE for keeping us safe” underscore the strong community spirit among residents.
The initiative builds on Uber’s broader efforts to support local communities. Recently, the company introduced 20% discount codes across key cultural and business districts, including Alserkal Avenue and Al Seef, encouraging residents to explore and support homegrown businesses.
Tala Nsouli, General Manager of Uber UAE, said, “With our ‘Pass It On’ notebooks, we wanted to create a simple but meaningful way for people to show solidarity, community support and appreciation for the UAE community,” she said.
“At Uber, we understand that every journey has the potential to bring people closer together, and this initiative is about giving riders a space to express that.”
