Dubai’s gaming ecosystem grows 30% as DMCC hub reaches 165 companies

Dubai’s gaming ecosystem is expanding, with the DMCC Gaming Center recording 30% annual growth after adding nearly 40 companies over the past 12 months.
The specialized hub now has 165 member companies and has signed a strategic partnership with the Serbian Games Association (SGA) to strengthen links between the two markets and support gaming businesses expanding across Europe, the Middle East and international markets.
The agreement was signed in Cologne during Gamescom 2026, where DMCC is participating as part of the Dubai Pavilion alongside the Dubai Films and Games Commission.
Under the partnership, DMCC and the SGA will explore soft-landing support for companies entering Dubai and Serbia, connect businesses across their respective ecosystems, and share market intelligence and industry expertise. The organizations also plan to develop joint events, webinars and other initiatives, while providing reciprocal access to co-working facilities.
Belal Jassoma, Director of Ecosystems at DMCC, said the Gaming Centre’s growth reflects demand from companies seeking to build and scale internationally.
“Serbia has developed a strong gaming industry with internationally competitive talent and studios, and our agreement with the Serbian Games Association creates a practical route for companies in both markets to connect, grow and access new opportunities through Dubai,” he said.
Mihajlo Jovanović-Džaril, Director of the Serbian Games Association, said the partnership would create opportunities for Serbian gaming companies to access international markets, establish partnerships and expand globally.
The Gaming Center forms part of DMCC’s broader strategy to build specialized ecosystems around high-growth industries. Its wider technology community includes more than 4,000 companies operating across gaming, artificial intelligence, crypto, Web3 and cybersecurity, while DMCC’s overall business district is home to nearly 27,000 companies.
The center provides a platform for developers, publishers, esports companies and other gaming businesses, connecting members with industry partners, investors, talent and international markets.
