Combining the best of both worlds – luxury fitness and wellness – Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global, owned by the Public Investment Fund, has partnered with luxury lifestyle brand Equinox to establish a new resort focused on sports, fitness, and lifestyle in Amaala, a wellness destination in Saudi’s Red Sea, known for its well-preserved natural environment.

Equinox Resort Amaala will have 128 rooms, including two luxury penthouses and a suite with many amenities. The new hotel will also boast a magnesium salt rooftop pool, a spa, a beach club, and an Equinox fitness club.

British studio Foster + Partners has unveiled designs for the Equinox Resort Amaala hotel, which will feature a circular “floating” canopy, designed to provide a “dramatic entrance” for guests, whether they arrive by car or boat, will be located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia.

Equinox Hotels CEO, Christopher Norton, said, “Our highly differentiated resort offering will provide guests an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can deliver.”

Earlier this year, Red Sea Global joined hands with Swiss longevity clinic Clinique La Prairie for a new wellness resort at Amaala, and partnered with international hospitality brand Rosewood Hotel and Resorts to open a 110-key hotel.
