The Museum of the Future has announced the second edition of the Future Heroes summer camp, which will take place from July 17 to August 10, for children aged 6 to 13 years to engage in the possibilities of the future through edutainment-based activities.

Topics will address space exploration, sustainability, ecology, happiness and well-being, and technology. Expert-led workshops on robotics, artificial intelligence, photography, and 3D printing will also be a part of the camp’s curriculum.

Through the space exploration workshops, children will engage with the Minecraft Space Center, where they will receive space explorer training. They will also learn to 3D model and print to create their space shelter designs.

Sustainability and ecology will tap into innovative solutions required for the future of homes via sustainable smart homes. Kids will learn about renewable and solar energy by making their solar hats.

In the happiness and well-being workshop, participants will make a customized virtual reality (VR) museum to showcase artwork and other features and have meaningful conversations about well-being and emotions through a card game.

Technology workshops include creating an animal robot using waste materials, similar to the Robodog of MOTF. This will foster an active involvement in the future of sustainable use of technology among children. They will also be allowed to delve into animation through the FlipaClip app on their phones and tablets, wherein they will design a superhero based on a current problem that concerns them, which activates their imagination and digital literacy skills.
