Employers now realize the value of a strong corporate culture and how it may improve employee attraction and retention. Businesses that value a positive work environment and modern HR procedures eventually develop into desirable workplaces.

McDonald’s by EFC, Leminar Group, Al Dabbagh Group, Centrepoint, and Chalhoub Group are top-ranked places to work in the UAE among the large workplaces category, according to a survey by Great Place to Work 2023.

The other companies on the list include Hilton, DHL Express, Shoemart, Ajmal Perfumes Group, FIVE Hotels, and Schneider Electric.

On its list of the finest workplaces for 2023, the international research, training, and advisory company Great Place to Work recognized the top five governmental, 25 large, and 50 small and medium-sized organizations within the UAE. The company honors the “Best Workplaces” in more than 60 nations.

“Despite the challenges we have faced during the pandemic, we are proud to witness even more continuous advocating for work-life balance among leaders in the UAE, and we are here to celebrate them. We are therefore not celebrating companies; we are celebrating heroes,” said Ibrahim Mougharbel, managing director for the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, Great Place to Work Middle East.

On its list, the company stated, “Leaders this year got even more creative in how they connect with their employees, thus continuously building upon a solid foundation of trust. With perpetual communication across all levels of the organization, employees felt resonated with and cared for.”

Meanwhile, under the government category, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, Sharjah Electricity Water and Gas Authority, Government of Sharjah – Department of eGov, and Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority were ranked in the top five.

“These organizations have been working diligently to bridge the gaps, transforming cultures, and evolving into the Best Workplaces. The organizations that made it to the list have proven that employee well-being does not need to be compromised to achieve growth. In fact, both go hand-in-hand,” the company noted.

Under the small and medium category, the Dubai-based furniture company The One topped the list. Apart from this, Century Financial, Pizza Express, Shift Electronics, Accuracy, Metropolitan Group, Cisco UAE, Maersk UAE, Biogen, and Cogent Solutions Event Management were also included in the list.
