Do you look up the place you plan to visit to find out what you want to see well in advance? If you are, you’ll love this – now you can explore some of Abu Dhabi’s best attractions virtually, including Yas Marina Circuit and Etihad Park.

Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island launched new virtual experiences on Tuesday, allowing people to explore the city’s landmarks, entertainment, and leisure hub virtually.

The new initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Aldar, Miral, twofour54, and Ethara.

Developed by Super League, the virtual experience was first released on the leading platform Roblox. Players will be able to roam the 25-square-kilometer virtual site.

The users’ digital avatars will be able to experience different landmarks on Yas Island and beyond, including SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Park, twofour54’s Yas Creative Hub, Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Sir Bani Yas Island, Al Ain Oasis and Al Jahili and many more.

“This immersive adventure in the virtual realm is the latest example of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to utilizing innovation and creativity to reach ever wider audiences,” said Saeed Al Fazari, Strategic Affairs Executive Director at DCT Abu Dhabi.

Players can also build their own cultural and entertainment attractions within Abu Dhabi. The game will continuously evolve with new partnerships, collaborations, and experiences.

Rashed Al Omaira, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldar Development, said: “The virtual Yas Island experience unlocks new opportunities for a global audience to explore the island as a world-class destination to live, visit, and work.”
