Dubai ranked fifth globally and top in MENA in Brand Finance Global City Index 2024

The city secured the top global ranking for Reputation, up from seventh place in 2023, surpassing Sydney and London.

Dubai has strengthened its position as a global leader, ranking fifth spot on the Brand Finance Global City Index 2024 and taking the top spot in the MENA region for the second year running. 

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, credited this success to the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the strategic framework of Dubai Plan 2030.

Leading in investment, quality of life, retirement, and tourism, Dubai also achieved the top global rank for reputation, moving up from seventh place in 2023 and surpassing Sydney and London. The city’s high marks in work opportunities, remote work options, and growth potential further highlight its commitment to future-ready initiatives and sustained excellence across multiple sectors.

Dubai’s second-place global ranking for economic strength, bolstered by its role as an international trade hub, has positioned it as a leading choice for investors.

Initiatives like the Future Foundation have strengthened Dubai’s reputation as a hub for innovation and start-ups. Its third-place ranking for corporate taxation further enhances its attractiveness as a top investment destination.

Dubai secured top rankings in education for both private and public schools, complemented by high scores in connectivity and visa accessibility.

Abu Dhabi held its 30th position globally, with notable advancements in investment and remote work opportunities. The capital ranked second in investment consideration and achieved high marks for future growth potential and innovation.

Riyadh climbed to 75th globally, showing notable progress in work, living, and investment factors. Doha ranked 69th, standing out in corporate and personal taxation.
