UAE to redefine the future of global crisis management, says Sheikh Tahnoon
The UAE is set to supercharge its emergency responses and crisis management capabilities with AI and next generation communication systems.

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, affirmed that under the UAE’s leadership, the country has established itself as a global frontrunner in shaping the future of crisis and emergency management.
Speaking at the World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit 2025, which he is hosting in Abu Dhabi on April 8-9, Sheikh Tahnoon said, “The World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit 2025 is being held this year under the theme ‘Together Towards Building Global Resilience,’ reflecting our firm belief that international cooperation and cross-border collaboration are vital to achieving true global resilience—resilience that empowers us to confront today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s uncertainties with confidence and capability.”
Sheikh Tahnoon reinforced the UAE’s commitment to advancing global efforts in addressing crises and disasters, highlighting the nation’s role in developing practical, forward-thinking solutions. He added, “Guided by the visionary leadership and farsighted vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, our nation has successfully established itself as a global hub shaping the future of crisis and emergency management.”
The summit will center on key themes, including global resilience, strategic foresight, international partnerships, and community empowerment. Sheikh Tahnoon highlighted the pivotal role of emerging technologies—particularly AI and next-generation communication systems—in enhancing crisis response capabilities.
He also stated, “Through this summit, we aim to empower communities and institutions worldwide to strengthen safety, stability, and human well-being. The summit brings together decision-makers, experts, and specialists from around the world to exchange experiences and explore best practices.”
