Is technology the answer for food security in the Middle East?
Talking about opportunities in the food tech sector and its impact on food security, RedSea co-founder and Chief Engineer Derya Baran explains how biotech and digital technologies can improve what we eat and, most importantly, how it's grown. To become less reliant on freshwater use in water-scarce regions and harsh climates, Baran's team has developed a heat-blocking roof, allowing more energy and water-efficient environment for plants, combined with their AI-enabled remote monitoring technology.
