Sport has emerged as one of the clearest expressions of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda, serving as a pillar of national identity, economic diversification, and global positioning. Through sustained investment in stadiums, sporting events, domestic leagues, and international partnerships, the Kingdom has positioned sport at the center of its long-term growth strategy, leveraging it to attract tourism, develop new industries, and advance a more diversified, knowledge-driven economy.

To explore what comes next, Fast Company Middle East will host its Executive Board meeting on 14th September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the theme “What Will Define the Next Sports Powerhouse?” The closed-door forum, powered by Globant, convenes senior leaders at a moment when Saudi Arabia’s investment in sports infrastructure, global events, and next-generation technologies is reshaping the region’s sporting priorities.

The Executive Board is an intimate, invitation-only gathering that convenes some of the region’s most influential leaders for strategic conversations shaping the future. This edition will bring together senior figures from government, giga-projects, sports, technology, and business to examine how innovation and collaboration can help build a globally competitive and enduring sports ecosystem.

Ravi Raman, Publisher at Fast Company Middle East, says, “Saudi Arabia isn’t just hosting sport anymore. It’s engineering it. This Executive Board puts the people building that infrastructure, government, giga-projects, sports bodies, and technology partners in the same room to work out what a sports powerhouse actually requires.”

Discussions will center on how artificial intelligence, data, and analytics are redefining high-performance sport, how digital platforms are creating more connected fan experiences, and how a sustainable sporting legacy can be built that extends well beyond the lifespan of major tournaments.
