As one of the Middle East’s most economically developed and diversified markets, the UAE has a strong healthcare infrastructure. Creating a world-class healthcare infrastructure is a top priority for the government as the sector advances significantly.

The UAE’s GDP is increasing, along with healthcare expenditure, and a strong private sector, in collaboration with government entities, is driving growth in the healthcare industry.

In keeping with the development goal centered on the people’s well-being, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, said that the UAE aims to be one of the best healthcare hubs that caters to the growing requirements of our vast region.

“Consistent with our unwavering drive for excellence, we continue to transform the sector by bringing together the globe’s leading healthcare expertise, talent, and institutions and opening new avenues for innovation to flourish,” said Sheikh Mohammed at the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2023, which started yesterday. The four-day healthcare exhibition is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“Our goal is to create a vibrant global healthcare hub that serves not only the needs of the people of our nation but also caters to the growing requirements of our vast region. Aligned with our goal of making the UAE one of the world’s best places to live and work, we are on a constantly evolving journey to raise standards of human development and welfare,” he added.

The exhibition has over 3,000 exhibitors from over 70 nations presenting innovative new healthcare solutions.

After the opening ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed stopped by the booths of several top businesses, including GE Healthcare, the Cleveland Clinic, Healthcare Spain, Siemens, and Philips.

Meanwhile, the second Future Health Summit will take place at the Museum of the Future as part of Arab Health 2023, where eminent business leaders, metaverse specialists, authors, and futurists will explore the possibilities in healthcare in the metaverse.
