Arabian Travel Market 2023 to focus on responsible travel
ATM will have panel discussions and competitions dedicated to sustainable travel
As the world moves towards sustainability, the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre next month, will focus on travel trends and innovation that can change the face of the travel industry by making it more environmentally responsible. Â
This is the first time a Sustainability Hub will feature at the ATM. The event will explore the future of sustainable travel, focusing on innovative and evolving travel trends and provide a platform for experts to explore a sustainable future before the commencement of COP28, to be held in Dubai in November.Â
Representatives from more than 80 leading travel technology companies will attend the event to showcase their latest innovations and technologies.Â
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said that it was essential for the travel industry to support and invest in new technologies for a better and more sustainable travel sector for future generations, which was in line with the “Working Towards Net Zero” theme of the event this year.Â
Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) said that he and his team were looking forward to discussing and exploring opportunities for sustainable growth.Â
A session on Technology: The Enabler of Sustainable Travel will mark the event’s commencement and discussions. Industry experts will share their insights and discuss the importance of online tools and how they make it easier for consumers to reduce their environmental impact while planning trips and bookings for travel, stay, and other activities.Â
The Sustainability Hub will showcase the latest sustainable travel trends and innovations and host the ATM 2023 Start-up Competition, where entrepreneurs compete in a Sustainable Tech Pitch Battle.Â
