AI heralds a ‘new era’ for humanity, says Sheikh Hamdan
The Crown Prince of Dubai said the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI reflects the emirate’s growing prominence on the global technology landscape.
Dubai continues to reinforce its stature as a global hub for technology innovation, as the emirate provides a vibrant ecosystem for future-oriented technologies to thrive.
With artificial intelligence (AI) transforming society, business, and more, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, said, “Artificial Intelligence heralds a new era in human history, and Dubai seeks to be at the forefront of this transformation.”
“We recognize Dubai’s contribution to global scientific and technological progress and launch alliances that aim to include everyone in building the future of humanity,” he added.
He said the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI, held at the Museum of the Future, reflects the emirate’s growing prominence on the global technology landscape, as global tech powerhouses and consultancies, including Microsoft, Meta, IBM, PwC, Deloitte, SAP, Nokia and McKinsey, attended the two-day summit.
At the assembly, Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) announced the launch of the Dubai Generative AI Alliance, a new alliance of global tech companies to help Dubai accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies. This launch also seeks to position Dubai as one of the world’s most advanced and technologically powered cities. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of DFF, called on organizations and innovators to join the alliance.
