In a meeting organized to discuss how Egypt can maximize the potential of its products through increased competitiveness, market share expansion, and exporter support, Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that the country aims to reach $100 billion in exports by 2030.

Madbouly further noted that the key focus will be enhancing industrialization, boosting investments, and promoting Egyptian products.

Ali El-Sisi, Assistant Minister of Finance for the General Budget; Amani El-Wassal, Executive Director of the Export Development Fund and Head of the Trade Agreements Sector at the Ministry of Trade and Industry; and Nevin Mansour, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies and Institutional Development, attended the meeting at the government building in the New Administrative Capital.

This plan aligns with the country’s overall aim to expand foreign exchange reserves and increase locally produced goods. Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir mentioned that between 2019 and 2023, non-oil exports rose by 40% through such initiatives.

Madbouly similarly stressed the importance of promptly paying Egyptian exporters their dues to promote growth and expansion. He also highlighted the significance of accelerating the automation of the export support system.
