Musandam Governor Sayyid Ibrahim Said al Busaidi has launched a new initiative to revitalize the tourism sector and boost the local economy in the region. Dubbed “Musandam Lodges,” the initiative encourages residents to invest in tourist accommodations that capitalize on Musandam’s natural beauty.

The announcement was made at a workshop organized by Oman Tourism College in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Musandam Branch. The governor emphasized that the project aims to improve tourism infrastructure, attract local investment, and meet the growing demand for tourist accommodation.

The initiative’s key objectives include promoting local and international tourism, enhancing Musandam’s reputation as a prime tourist destination, and supporting small and medium enterprises in the region. The project is also expected to create new job opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

To encourage local investors, the governor urged them to capitalize on available opportunities and take advantage of incentives for lodging projects. The Musandam International Company will play a crucial role in developing investment, financing, commercial models, and urban and architectural plans for participating companies.

The workshop included presentations highlighting the importance of developing tourist lodges as a fundamental component of tourism growth.

By offering diverse lodging options, Musandam can attract a wider array of visitors and contribute to the region’s economic development.
