Saudi Arabia’s top 10 startups show impressive growth and innovation across sectors like digital security, convenience apps, and business solutions, as highlighted in LinkedIn’s annual Top Startups list.

At the forefront is cybersecurity firm Cipher, emphasizing the increasing demand for digital security services in the kingdom. Convenience-driven startups MR MANDOOB, a delivery services app, and Mawidy, an appointment-booking platform, secured third and fourth places, while car rental app SHIFT Inc. rounded out the top five, showcasing the rising popularity of practical, service-oriented apps.

The e-commerce sector is gaining momentum, with retail solutions platform Rewaa debuting in sixth place and AI-powered marketplace Soum rising to seventh.

Demand for business solutions is also notable, as LAWAZEM, a procurement platform, and Squadio, a talent solutions provider, ranked eighth and tenth, respectively. This highlights the increasing need for operational support as more international firms enter the Saudi market.

Saudi Arabia’s startup ecosystem has been bolstered by a strong venture capital presence, with $412 million in funding in the first half of 2024, positioning it as a leader in the MENA region. Notably, buy-now-pay-later fintech Tamara and AI solutions company Mozn also made the list.

Nabila Rahal, MENA news editor at LinkedIn, noted that this year’s list highlights the crucial role of startups in driving Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification.
