Saudi Arabia and Singapore have strengthened their bilateral ties by establishing a Strategic Partnership Council. The agreement was formalized with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on Wednesday by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Singaporean Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.

The council seeks to enhance cooperation in economic, developmental, and cultural sectors, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The ministers discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to boost trade and expand collaboration across various fields.

Following the signing, Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of the new council, describing it as a platform for deepening ties in economic and developmental sectors. “This Strategic Partnership Council offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation and partnership across various fields, particularly in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030,” he said.

Prince Faisal emphasized Singapore’s position as a global financial hub and expressed optimism about deepening economic collaboration between the two nations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging the partnership for mutual growth.

The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in innovation, technology, trade, and cultural exchange, further solidifying the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
