Qatar’s inflation to stay among the lowest in GCC in 2025
Qatar's inflation is expected to average 1.4% this year, below the GCC's 1.9% and the Arab world's 8.5%, according to a regional think tank.

Qatar’s inflation remained subdued in December 2024, rising just 0.2% year-on-year—one of the lowest annual averages in four years, according to Kamco. The moderation was driven by price declines in key sectors, with food and beverages falling 2.2% and housing, water, electricity, and gas dropping 4.2%.
However, inflationary pressures persisted in other areas. Communication costs rose 4.4% year-on-year, while recreation and culture increased by 2.5%, and restaurants and hotels saw a 1.7% uptick.
