Msheireb Properties and Fast Company Middle East have announced the 2025 Innovation in Design Awards. This initiative will recognize excellence in creativity, innovation, and sustainability across design and architecture.

The inaugural Msheireb Innovation in Design Awards, hosted alongside the Innovation by Design Summit, highlighted inventive contributions in design that express creativity and sustainability. The awards spotlighted the transformative power of design in shaping a better future, encouraging meaningful dialogue and innovation on a global scale.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition at the Fast Company Innovation by Design Summit, this year’s winners will be revealed at the official awards ceremony on May 21, hosted in Doha, alongside the summit.

The second annual awards, with an expanded range of categories, will highlight contributions in design and architecture that reflect Fast Company Middle East’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. In partnership with Msheireb Properties, this initiative supports Qatar’s ambition to become a global leader in innovation, honoring creative, sustainable designs that are shaping the future of urban living.

“The Innovation in Design Awards presented by Msheireb Properties was created to promote design thinking as a catalyst for positive change, spotlighting ideas that tackle individual, community, and global challenges. By expanding the award categories for our second season, we want to inspire even more trailblazers who are redefining the future of urban living,” said Eng. Entries for the 2025 Innovation in Design Awards are now open to global designers, architects, and innovators. Winners will be chosen based on criteria like replicability, design thinking, and impact on individuals, communities, and the world.

The 2025 categories include Architecture and Urban Planning, honoring projects that improve cities and neighborhoods, Product and Packaging, recognizing designs that enhance user experience, Retail, and Experiential, celebrating innovative retail concepts, Sustainable Design, spotlighting environmentally conscious projects, Technology-Driven Design, acknowledging tech-integrated designs, Travel and Hospitality, rewarding memorable guest experiences and Emerging Designer Middle East, recognizing rising talent shaping the region’s design future.

The 2025 Innovation in Design Awards will highlight how design shapes the future and honor those pushing boundaries with creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
