Equipped with an energy consumption rate of just 14.0-12.2 kWh/100 km (WLTP), the CLA offers an impressive electric range of up to 792 kilometers on a single charge, making it one of the most efficient electric vehicles in its segment. Charging the CLA is an absolute game-changer. The 800-volt technology inherited from the Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX allows for rapid charging, adding up to 300 kilometers of range in 10 minutes at a DC fast-charging station. This means that the CLA is not just a car for daily commuting but a vehicle capable of handling long trips with the same ease as traditional refueling.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE

The CLA’s battery options provide flexibility, with an 85 kWh battery at launch and a more compact 58 kWh option later in the year. For the first time in the automotive world, multi-agent AI works together within the same system to provide unparalleled interaction and personalized control over every aspect of the car.

The MBUX Virtual Assistant takes driver-vehicle interaction to a new level, allowing for natural, multi-turn conversations and even recognizing the driver’s emotions. Whether helping with navigation or suggesting a nearby restaurant, the CLA’s assistant mimics a helpful companion. 

EFFICIENCY AND COMFORT COMBINED

The new CLA introduces elevated standards of comfort and convenience. The car’s multi-source heat pump helps conserve energy by utilizing waste heat from the drivetrain, the battery, and ambient air to precondition the cabin, ensuring a comfortable interior without draining the battery. The frunk returns after a 90-year absence, offering 101 liters of additional storage, perfect for shopping bags, luggage, or charging cables.

MB has given MB equal attention to safety and comfort. DRIVE assistance systems offer adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and more. For added peace of mind, Level 2+ autonomous driving assistance will be available in select markets by 2025, bringing even greater convenience to long-distance driving.

A CHOICE OF POWERTRAINS: HYBRID OR ALL-ELECTRIC

For those who still appreciate the flexibility of a traditional combustion engine, Mercedes-Benz will offer a 48-volt hybrid variant of the CLA. The hybrid combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 20 kW electric motor, offering the best of both worlds—pure electric driving for city trips and the efficiency of a gasoline engine for longer drives.
