Goumbook

Goumbook is a UAE-based social enterprise dedicated to promoting sustainability and climate action since 2009. Inspired by the UAE’s vision to embed sustainable philanthropy across society, Goumbook collaborates with corporations, youth, civil society, and the public sector to encourage daily sustainable practices. Notable programs include ‘Give a Ghaf’, which focuses on planting the UAE’s national tree to raise environmental awareness, and ‘Mangroves United’, which involves the sports community in restoring mangrove ecosystems.
Heroes of Hope

Founded by UAE resident Hollie Murphy, this non-profit empowers People of Determination (PODs) through sport. As one of the UAE’s largest inclusive sports academy, it offers over 18 weekly programs—from triathlon and CrossFit to swimming and gymnastics. Supporting a community of more than 800 athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers, Heroes of Hope fosters confidence, health, and social growth. Aligned with the UAE’s vision of inclusion, it provides equal opportunities and celebrates ability over disability. Its mission is to shift perceptions, break stigma, and build a future where PODs can thrive.
Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities

Founded in 1981, this Dubai-based non-profit organization supports over 190 students of determination from diverse nationalities. Its purpose-built facility in Al Barsha features modern classrooms, therapy rooms, a gym, a swimming pool, and assistive technology labs. In 2020, Al Noor expanded into the Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association, extending its services to adults up to age 35. The Centre empowers individuals with disabilities to gain independence, develop life skills, and integrate into the community with confidence and dignity. Volunteers aged 16 and above can support classroom activities, student engagement, administrative tasks, or fundraising with flexible schedules.
SmartLife Foundation
Established in 2010, this unique non-profit organization aims to champion and empower the UAE’s blue-collar community. SmartLife offers a range of initiatives, including free English classes, computer training, health check-ups, and social events, to uplift workers and bridge the gap between blue- and white-collar communities. Its annual event, SmartIdol, provides a platform for workers to showcase their talents, fostering community spirit and personal growth.
Azraq

Its initiatives include coral reef restoration, mangrove planting, and marine debris removal. Established in 2020, it offers high-quality pre-loved clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories at affordable prices, with items starting from AED 5. Operating two stores in Dubai—the Golden Mile Galleria on Palm Jumeirah and Times Square Center—Thrift for Good donates 100% of its profits to Gulf for Good’s children’s charity projects. The organization also emphasizes zero-waste practices by rehoming, upcycling, or recycling all donated items.
