The UAE Ministry of Economy has launched the ‘Summer Hospitality Camp 2025’, a nationwide initiative to provide Emirati and resident youth with hands-on training in tourism and hospitality.

Unveiled in the presence of H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, the program immerses participants in real-world hospitality settings—such as hotels, resorts, and tourism facilities—to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience.

The initiative aligns with the UAE Tourism Strategy 2031, which aims to increase the tourism sector’s contribution to GDP and position the country as a leading global destination.

Developed in collaboration with major hospitality brands, tourism companies, and academic institutions, the camp is open to UAE nationals and residents aged 15 to 22. It offers five training tracks: Hotels, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food Services, and Event Management, each lasting two to four weeks. The experience includes field training, mentorship, site visits, and interactive workshops across 35 partner organizations.

H.E. Al Marri said the initiative is an investment in young Emiratis, aimed at equipping them with the skills and experience needed to succeed in tourism. He emphasized that it reflects the UAE’s commitment to boosting local participation in a vital sector and preparing the next generation of leaders who will enhance visitor experiences and represent the UAE’s renowned hospitality.

H.E. Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, UNWTO Secretary General-elect (2026–2029), called the camp a major step toward strengthening national capabilities. She highlighted the importance of hands-on learning in meeting global tourism standards while supporting trends in innovation, sustainability, and human capital development.

The initiative also supports Emiratization, helping to build a skilled, future-ready workforce in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries.
