Fast Company Middle East and DP World launch roundtable series to explore ‘Trade in a Connected World’
The series will explore key trade sectors, revealing insights for smarter, more connected, and sustainable supply chains

Global trade is undergoing a profound transformation. As traditional supply chains are reconfigured, technology redefines operational efficiency, and sustainability is a business imperative, the demand for visionary and forward-thinking has never been more urgent. From the rise of artificial intelligence and the development of automated technologies, the supply chain logistics industry is witnessing shifting trade corridors and rising geopolitical tensions. Companies are having to reimagine how goods, services, and data are transported across borders.
To explore these critical shifts, Fast Company Middle East, in collaboration with DP World, is launching ‘Trade in a Connected World’, a roundtable series specifically designed to spark meaningful conversations with industry leaders about the future of trade.
Each session will focus on a specific sector, exploring how innovations in infrastructure, technology, and strategy are shaping a more agile and sustainable trade ecosystem. Bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers, the series aims to highlight the future of smarter, more agile, and sustainable global commerce, offering a platform for practical insights and collaborative thinking.
The first session, “Unlocking Value Through Integrated Supply Chain Solutions”, will explore how companies can evolve from fragmented logistics to end-to-end, integrated models. In a landscape defined by rising customer demand and the exponential growth of e-commerce, integrated supply chains offer improved visibility, predictive capabilities, and increased resilience – all of which simplify operations to navigate uncertainty while boosting agility and competitiveness.
Ravi Raman, Publisher, Fast Company Middle East, said, “Trade is no longer about goods moving across borders—it’s about data, ecosystems, and intelligence. This series will spotlight how the future of global commerce is being rewritten at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and collaboration.
“At DP World, we are committed to reshaping the future of trade by driving innovation, enabling sustainable growth and fostering global collaboration,” said William Sears, Chief Commercial Officer: Logistics for DP World in sub-Saharan Africa. “Through our partnership with Fast Company Middle East, we aim to convene the brightest minds to exchange insights, challenge conventions, and chart a course towards a more connected, intelligent, and resilient global trade ecosystem.”
‘Trade in a Connected World’ creates a forum for meaningful dialogue around the complex forces reshaping industries. The roundtable series will continue with three additional sessions, each addressing a different dimension of trade and logistics, providing strategic insight into building more integrated and sustainable trade systems.
