How the ‘One Freezone Passport’ will streamline business expansion
By simplifying procedures and enabling faster market entry, officials say the program will make it easier for companies to scale their operations across Dubai’s diverse economic zones.

The Dubai Free Zones Council (DFZC) has announced the launch of the “One Freezone Passport”, a new initiative that allows companies licensed in one free zone to expand into others without the need for additional licenses.
The scheme is intended to streamline regulatory processes, reduce barriers to growth, and create greater integration across Dubai’s network of free zones.
The initiative aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to strengthen the city’s position as a global business hub and attract more international investment.

Global luxury brand Louis Vuitton has become the first company to benefit from the scheme.
Under the passport, the brand has set up a warehouse at Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) while establishing its corporate offices at One Za’abeel within the DWTC Free Zone. The transition was completed in just five days, which DFZC says highlights the efficiency of the new framework.
Dr. Juma Al Matrooshi, Assistant Secretary General at DFZC, described the initiative as transformative, noting that it cements Dubai’s reputation as a premier destination for global businesses.
“By enabling businesses to expand seamlessly across our world-class free zones, we are reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a premier investment destination.”
