MWC25 Doha expands agenda with smart city expo and digital leaders programme
MWC25 Doha will focus on three key themes: AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries.

As the global tech ecosystem continues to expand its footprint across the Middle East, Qatar is poised to take center stage. MWC25 Doha, the first edition of GSMA’s flagship mobile and connectivity event in the region, is shaping up to be a landmark gathering for digital innovation, policy, and investment.
Organized in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the event has announced the addition of two major programmes to its agenda: the Smart City Expo and the GSMA Digital Leaders Programme. With demand exceeding expectations, the exhibition will now span three halls at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on 25–26 November 2025.
Newly confirmed exhibitors and sponsors include Cisco Mannai, Google, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, KT, Mannai TechHub, Nokia, Qatar University, SP Rhodes & Schwarz, Turkcell, and VEON. High-profile speakers joining the lineup include Peggy Johnson (Agility Robotics), Martin Kon (Cohere), H.E. Deemah AlYahya (DCO), Hatem Dowidar (e&), Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo (Ooredoo), Cyril Anand (Starlink Qatar), Dr. Najwa Alghamdi (stc), and Kaan Terzioğlu (VEON).
The Smart City Expo, organized by Fira de Barcelona, will bring global urban innovation leaders to Doha, while the GSMA Digital Leaders Programme, a high-level, invite-only forum, makes its MENA debut, connecting regional players to the global tech ecosystem.
These initiatives join 4YFN, MWC’s premier startup platform, and the GSMA Ministerial Programme, where global policymakers will map out the region’s digital future.
MWC25 Doha will focus on three key themes: AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries, explored through summits on AI, telecom, 5G, IoT, fintech, and more defining the next era of global connectivity from the heart of the Gulf.
