The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has emphasized the growing role of young entrepreneurs in the Emirate’s economy through the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, a platform designed to foster innovation and support emerging businesses.

Chamber data shows that youth memberships increased by 97.8% between 2023 and 2024, with more than 21,240 members aged 18 to 35 registered as of August 2025.

Their combined capital exceeds $4 billion, highlighting the rising contribution of young business leaders to the national economy. Membership is nearly evenly split between Emiratis (49%) and non-Emiratis (51%), reflecting Abu Dhabi’s diverse business landscape.

Youth-led enterprises are primarily concentrated in wholesale and retail trade (40%), followed by construction, administrative services, hospitality, and other key sectors.

Mansoor Al Sayegh, President of the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, said the Council provides a platform for young entrepreneurs to “transform their ideas into impactful ventures that drive economic growth.”

Al Sayegh adds that the Council’s strategy focuses on five pillars: representing youth interests, advancing legislation, building skills, expanding partnerships, and creating business opportunities.

The Council offers initiatives such as free business consultancy, membership in the “Abu Dhabi Youth Business Gateway,” assistance with commercial licensing, and support for local and international expansion.

These efforts, supported by the Abu Dhabi Chamber, align with the Emirate’s broader goals of diversifying the economy and strengthening its position as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
