Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO) has rebranded as Innovation City (INC), an initiative aimed at positioning the emirate as a regional hub for technology and innovation.

Innovation City will focus on five core sectors: Web3 and digital assets, artificial intelligence, gaming and iGaming, robotics, and healthtech.

The project seeks to attract entrepreneurs and technology companies by developing dedicated infrastructure and creating a concentrated ecosystem of innovators.

According to its founders, INC will operate as the world’s first AI-powered free zone, using artificial intelligence to shape regulatory frameworks, streamline company procedures, and enhance business growth. Plans also include developing land in Ras Al Khaimah into technology-focused infrastructure.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Innovation City, said the initiative is designed to establish Ras Al Khaimah as a long-term center of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Paul Dawalibi, CEO of Innovation City, stated that the project aligns with the emirate’s vision for sustainable development and economic diversification.

“With Innovation City, we are not just building another free zone —we are building the future. Our goal is to attract the brightest minds and the most ambitious CONFIDENTIAL companies, to create an ecosystem where innovation thrives and scale is inevitable,” Dawalibi added.

With its location offering access to Dubai’s metropolitan hub as well as Ras Al Khaimah’s natural and cultural assets, INC aims to attract global talent and companies while providing a balanced lifestyle for residents and visitors.
