Dubai Chamber launches Sustainability 365 to embed responsibility across private sector
The new format reflects a shift from short-term awareness campaigns to sustained, actionable impact.

As sustainability gains momentum among governments and corporations, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has taken a major step to embed environmental and social responsibility into the private sector. The chamber has launched ‘Sustainability 365,’ a revamped and expanded version of its long-running Sustainability Week.
The programme builds on the foundation laid by the chamber’s Sustainability Week, launched in 2015 by its Centre for Responsible Business. The new format marks a shift from short-term awareness campaigns to sustained, actionable impact.
Held under the theme “Purpose in Action: Empowering Communities Through Responsible Business,” the initiative places purpose at the core of corporate strategy, emphasizing long-term benefits for both communities and the environment.
Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said: “The launch of the Sustainability 365 initiative marks a pivotal moment in this journey. It is not simply a change of name or an extension of the programme’s duration; it reflects our firm conviction that social responsibility is an integral part of business culture and a driver of positive change in the community.”
To date, more than 720 companies have participated in the chamber’s sustainability initiatives. The new programme kicks off with The Purpose Forum, a high-level gathering of CEOs and business leaders, followed by the Business with Purpose Roundtable, featuring an interactive simulation on navigating sustainability challenges.
Throughout October, the Purpose Academy will host expert-led virtual sessions, equipping businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to implement purpose-driven strategies.
