EVIQ and Apsco partner to build nationwide EV charging network in Saudi Arabia
The rollout will target highways, major cities, and key service stations to ensure convenient access for EV drivers.
In a move highlighting Saudi Arabia’s push toward sustainable mobility, EVIQ, a leading electric vehicle infrastructure company, has formed a strategic partnership with Arabian Petroleum Supply Co. (Apsco), a national energy provider, to roll out a network of fast EV charging stations across the Kingdom.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the national EV ecosystem by combining EVIQ’s advanced charging technologies, backed by the Public Investment Fund, with Apsco’s extensive network of service stations. The initiative aligns with Vision 2030, supporting economic diversification, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting cleaner transportation across the Kingdom.
“This collaboration with Apsco marks another milestone in our mission to enable a seamless, accessible, and sustainable EV charging ecosystem across the Kingdom,” said Mohammad Bakr Gazzaz, CEO of EVIQ. “Together, we are taking a significant step towards realizing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals for greener mobility, paving the way for the future of electric transportation in Saudi Arabia.”
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Azzam Qari, CEO of Apsco, described the partnership as a pivotal moment in the company’s sustainability journey. “By joining forces with EVIQ, we are enabling the infrastructure required for the future of electric transportation, empowering our customers with reliable and accessible charging options across the Kingdom,” he said.
The partnership will kick off with a nationwide rollout plan, focusing on high-traffic highways, major urban centers, and key service stations to ensure optimized accessibility and convenience for EV drivers.
As Saudi Arabia continues to expand renewable energy and clean transport initiatives, this collaboration represents a significant step in the Kingdom’s efforts to establish a robust EV infrastructure. By combining technological innovation with nationwide accessibility, EVIQ and Apsco are positioned to play a central role in driving the country’s transition to sustainable mobility in line with Vision 2030.
