Public Investment Fund (PIF)–backed Savvy Games Group has entered a strategic partnership with fellow PIF portfolio company HUMAIN to deploy full-stack AI solutions across its operations.

The memorandum of understanding will see Savvy integrate HUMAIN’s AI platforms, data infrastructure, and applications to enhance efficiency across human resources, procurement, and finance. The collaboration also extends to joint research and development initiatives aimed at identifying new use cases for AI across Savvy’s gaming and esports ecosystem.

HUMAIN will provide access to its advanced data centers and cloud computing systems to support Savvy’s digital transformation goals, reinforcing the Kingdom’s broader push to embed AI into key economic sectors.

“We are looking forward to working with HUMAIN to identify and unlock ways that would enhance the way we utilize AI at Savvy,” Brian Ward, CEO of Savvy Games Group, said. He added: “HUMAIN operates across the entire AI value chain from data and infrastructure to models and end-user applications, so there are a lot of opportunities for us to look at and create tangible programs of activities.”

HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin described the alliance as a milestone for both companies, stating: “This partnership comes at an exciting time following the recent launch of HUMAIN One at FII9. This agentic AI operating system is a game changer, and we are thrilled to have Savvy as one of the early adopters.” He noted that game development is one of the most dynamic areas where AI can redefine creativity and productivity.

The collaboration highlights growing synergies among PIF portfolio firms, aligning strategic capabilities to accelerate Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation. It also advances PIF’s wider AI and digital economy strategy, positioning the Kingdom as a global hub for innovation and talent.

Savvy has emerged as a key player in Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing gaming and esports landscape. In 2024, the company reported strong growth across its three pillars—game development, esports, and ecosystem building—most notably hosting the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, which brought together 2,000 players from 200 clubs with a record $70 million prize pool.

For HUMAIN, the partnership follows its $3 billion deal with Asia-Pacific data center operator AirTrunk, backed by Blackstone and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, to develop a large-scale AI-ready data campus in Saudi Arabia. The project will deliver advanced AI infrastructure and reinforce the Kingdom’s positioning as a global technology leader.

In a related development, Saudi Aramco recently signed a non-binding term sheet to acquire a significant minority stake in HUMAIN. Under the proposed deal, Aramco and PIF will contribute AI-related assets, talent, and technologies to scale HUMAIN’s operations and unlock new opportunities in the rapidly evolving data and AI sector.
