Dubai launches region’s first integrated RV tourism route
The region’s first integrated recreational vehicle will create a unified network of stations, serviced parks, and connected road-trip routes.
Dubai Municipality has unveiled the region’s first integrated recreational vehicle (RV) route, a milestone initiative aimed at redefining nature-based tourism and strengthening the emirate’s position as a global hub for outdoor travel and adventure.
The project will create a unified network of RV stations, serviced parks, and connected road-trip routes, designed to link Dubai’s diverse natural landscapes — from mountains to beaches and desert terrains. The network is expected to enrich the emirate’s tourism offering while promoting outdoor leisure as part of Dubai’s drive to enhance quality of life for both residents and visitors.
As part of the plan, Dubai Municipality will take the lead in developing the necessary infrastructure and regulatory framework, paving the way for private-sector developers and operators to build, manage, and operate RV routes and parks across the city. This public-private model is intended to open new investment opportunities, diversify tourism experiences, and support the growth of a comprehensive RV ecosystem.
“The launch of the UAE’s first integrated RV route reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to developing innovative and sustainable tourism models that enhance quality of life and create new economic opportunities,” said Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality. “By establishing the regulatory and infrastructure foundations for RV routes and parks, we are enabling private-sector participation while offering residents and visitors new ways to experience Dubai’s natural environments through accessible, family-oriented outdoor destinations.”
Aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the initiative reinforces Dubai’s positioning as a city that embraces innovation, sustainability, and diversified tourism experiences. The RV route and its parks will be developed as year-round, family-friendly destinations, integrating hospitality, dining, wellness, and recreation to serve visitors of all ages and abilities.
To encourage investment, Dubai Municipality will introduce incentives, subsidies, and reduced land costs, while partnering with financial institutions to provide flexible payment options that facilitate RV ownership and rentals.
In addition, the municipality will collaborate with tour operators and private partners to market the RV network regionally and internationally, promoting Dubai as a gateway for RV tourism across the Middle East.
The initiative also supports Dubai’s vision of fostering sustainable tourism by encouraging families to explore the emirate’s natural beauty through eco-conscious, connected travel experiences. Each stop along the route will be designed with safety, comfort, and inclusivity in mind — ensuring accessibility for all.
Dubai Municipality has invited investors, tour operators, and industry stakeholders to collaborate in shaping and operating the new RV tourism network, which it describes as a long-term platform for sustainable growth, investment, and community wellbeing.
