Trend Micro to showcase unified cybersecurity solutions at Milipol Qatar 2022
The firm provides collects data from different security checkpoints and automatically correlates it.
In 2021 alone, according to cybersecurity firm Group-IB, more than 50 organizations in the Middle East were hit by ransomware attacks. Kaspersky found that about 29 cyber gangs have been actively attacking businesses across the Middle East since the pandemic started. The number of ransomware attacks in the Middle East increased by an alarming 85% between 2020 and 2021.
Amid this situation, cybersecurity provider Trend Micro is showcasing its innovative solutions at Milipol Qatar 2022 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. Its products, such as Trend Micro Vision and Trend Micro Cloud, will be displayed at the event. These solutions use extended detection and response (XDR) to protect every level of operation within an organization.
The products facilitate cross-layered detection and investigation of threats on a single platform for cybersecurity teams. Trend Micro takes a zero-trust approach, which involves checking every device, user, and connection to every network, to weed out all potential threats before giving access. The firm’s report shows that more than four million email threats and seven million URL attacks were detected in Qatar alone last year.
XDR technology automatically collects data from multiple security touchpoints, including servers, the cloud, and the network. It then correlates the information for quick analysis and detection of threats, translating to an accelerated investigation and response.
Its Trend Micro One solution is a unified platform with tech partners that helps clients communicate and understand cyber threats to prevent them. It continuously looks for threats with surface discovery and cyber risk analysis for consistent mitigation.
