Daily workouts and full gyms mark busy evenings across the Gulf
Packed gyms and busy Ramadan evenings show routine in full swing across the region.
Amid rising tensions between the United States, Iran and several Gulf states, authorities across the region have moved swiftly to reassure citizens and residents while keeping daily operations on track.
Officials have issued precautionary guidance in some areas, while emphasizing that essential services, businesses and public spaces remain open. In major cities, daily life continues with minimal disruption.
Across the Gulf, residents have largely maintained their usual routines, particularly during the evening hours of Ramadan, when malls, restaurants and recreational venues typically experience higher footfall.
Businesses across sectors, including retail, hospitality, and fitness, report stable activity levels, reinforcing the message that commercial operations are continuing as usual.
Within the fitness sector, GymNation said attendance across its facilities has remained steady in recent days, with members continuing to visit gyms in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
According to the company, footfall is in line with typical patterns for this time of year. Group classes are fully booked, and peak hours reflect the usual Ramadan evening demand.
Loren Holland, CEO of GymNation, said operations across its clubs remain unaffected.
“It’s very much business as usual across our clubs, and it’s encouraging to see our gyms full,” Holland said. “That alone speaks volumes about the public’s confidence and their ‘keep calm, carry on – and lift weights’ attitude.”
He added that the overall sentiment among members appears calm, reflected in steady daily check-in numbers. “It’s great to see people continuing to prioritize their health and fitness,” Holland said.
