Dubai rolls out large-scale AI workforce program. It targets 50,000 employees to boost productivity and innovation
Training will be tailored to different job roles through specialized tracks, focusing on improving productivity, performance, and innovation.
Digital Dubai has launched the “AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+),” a strategic initiative to train 50,000 government employees in artificial intelligence applications.
The program is being delivered in collaboration with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence, under the umbrella of the Dubai Future Foundation. It is part of broader efforts to strengthen workforce readiness and accelerate the integration of AI across government operations.
According to officials, the initiative is designed to equip employees with the skills needed to apply AI in service delivery and institutional processes, with the goal of improving productivity, performance, and innovation. Training will be tailored to different job roles through specialized tracks.
The leadership track will focus on AI strategy, opportunities, and challenges, supported by global case studies and expert discussions. A separate track for Chief AI Officers will focus on implementing Dubai’s AI frameworks, supported by workshops and knowledge-sharing platforms.
Additional tracks will target product and service owners, department managers, and general employees. These include training on developing AI use cases, applying AI within teams, and building practical skills such as prompt engineering, automation tools, and AI-driven productivity techniques.
Officials said the program supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by advancing an AI-enabled government model that integrates human capabilities with emerging technologies. It is also expected to strengthen AI literacy, accelerate decision-making, and improve service delivery.
The initiative reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to position itself as a global leader in digital government and innovation, with a focus on building long-term capabilities and embedding AI across public sector operations.
