ADX reaches record $762 billion market value in first half of 2026

Total traded value reached $46.6 billion, while traded volume rose 3.7% year on year to 50.3 billion shares.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reached a record market value of $762 billion in the first half of 2026, as trading activity and investor participation increased.

Total traded value reached $46.6 billion, while traded volume rose 3.7% year on year to 50.3 billion shares. Average daily trading volume increased 9% to 423 million shares, with around 3.3 million transactions executed, up 12% from the same period in 2025.

Market makers increased their share of total trading value by three percentage points to 15%, supporting market liquidity.

The UAE’s Capital Market Authority also completed 3,170 licenses and approvals in 2025, up from 1,272 a year earlier, an increase of about 150%. The authority said the rise reflected a deepening pool of long-term capital across the UAE’s markets.

Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, CEO of ADX Group, said the exchange remained focused on building a more advanced and liquid market with stronger links to global markets. He added that ADX had continued expanding market access, strengthening infrastructure and introducing new solutions during the first half of the year.

Institutional investors accounted for 78% of total trading value, while investment inflows reached $381 million, up 13.7% year on year. Foreign investors represented 48% of total trading value, while Emirati nationals accounted for 52%, up six percentage points from a year earlier.

ADX attracted 30,000 new investors during the period, an increase of 7.1%, with foreign investors accounting for 77% of new registrations. Total dividend distributions rose to $13.6 billion.

ADX now hosts 24 exchange-traded funds (ETFs), whose combined market value jumped 1,459% year on year to $6.6 billion.

ETF trading value increased 166% to $55 million, while trading volume rose 167% to 38 million units. The number of ETF transactions also climbed 168% to 19,552.
