OPPO unveils Reno16 Series with AI behind the camera and bigger batteries
OPPO’s Reno16 Series arrives in the UAE with a 200MP flagship camera, new AI-powered creative tools and batteries up to 7,000mAh.
OPPO is expanding its smartphone portfolio in the UAE with the Reno16 Series, bringing a new generation of camera and AI features to its mid-range lineup. Spanning the Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, and Reno16F 5G, the series combines cameras up to 200MP with new creative tools and 7,000mAh batteries.
Following its regional launch, OPPO hosted a hands-on activation in Dubai, where media and content creators explored the devices and their photography, design and AI capabilities.

WHAT’S NEW THIS TIME?
The Reno16 Series builds on the previous Reno15 generation with a stronger focus on upgraded imaging, deeper AI integration and improved endurance.
Compared to the Reno15 lineup, the Reno16 introduces higher-resolution cameras (up to 200MP on the Pro model), a more advanced suite of AI editing and productivity tools, and larger batteries reaching up to 7,000mAh for longer use between charges.
The lineup still includes three models at different price points, but all now benefit from ColorOS 16 and OPPO’s latest AI-driven photography features, such as Pop Cam, AI Remix Collage, and the new AI Snap Key. Together, these updates mark a shift from the Reno15’s camera-first approach to a more complete imaging and AI ecosystem across the entire series.
The Reno16 Series comes in four color options across the lineup. The Reno16 Pro 5G is available in Pop White and Starlight Black, while the Reno16 5G comes in Pop White, Twilight Violet and Dream Purple. The Reno16F 5G is also offered in Pop White, Twilight Violet and Dream Purple.

THE CAMERA TAKES CENTER STAGE
Photography remains a central focus of the Reno lineup. All three models feature a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, alongside a triple rear-camera system that includes a main camera, a telephoto portrait camera with approximately 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera.
The Reno16 Pro 5G takes things further with a 200MP main camera, designed to retain detail when images are cropped or reframed.

For video, the lineup supports 4K recording alongside features designed to make mobile filming easier. Auto Straighten Video is a feature that helps keep footage level while moving, while Dual View Video 2.0 allows users to switch between rear cameras while recording, so you don’t have to stop recording to flip the camera.
AI MOVES INTO THE EDITING ROOM
The Reno16 Series introduces Pop Cam, a new camera mode offering vintage-inspired effects including Digicam, Instant Film and Light Leak.
AI Remix Collage, meanwhile, allows photos and short videos to be combined into layered compositions with text, stickers and other visual elements. Popout Collage 2.0 adds another option, allowing subjects to extend beyond the frame to create more dynamic compositions.

AI extends beyond photography. Running on ColorOS 16, the series introduces an AI Snap Key that provides quick access to AI Mind Space, where users can capture, save, and organize information from their screens.
A PHONE THAT PLAYS WITH LIGHT
The Reno16 Series introduces what OPPO calls its 3D Pop Planet Design. The Pop White edition uses HoloVerse 3D Technology to create a floating, nebula-inspired effect on the rear of the phone that changes with light and movement.
The Reno16 and Reno16 Pro have smaller screens that make them easier to hold and use with one hand, while the Reno16F offers more screen space for watching videos, gaming and browsing.
BUILT TO LAST LONGER
The Reno16 Series is built to handle a full day of regular use, with the Reno16F packing the largest battery for users who spend more time streaming, gaming or creating content. When the battery does run low, 80W fast charging means less time spent plugged in.
The phones also carry IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance, while Splash Touch and Glove Touch are designed to keep the display responsive when used with wet or gloved hands.
WHAT WILL IT COST?
In the UAE, the Reno16 Pro 5G is priced at AED3,299 ($898.3), while the Reno16 5G costs AED2,499 ($680.4). OPPO is offering bundled accessories and extended warranty coverage with the devices, alongside three months of Google AI Pro membership, including 5TB of cloud storage and Gemini Pro access.
