Abu Dhabi Chamber and CCI France UAE sign deal to deepen trade and investment ties

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and CCI France UAE have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen trade, investment, and economic ties between Abu Dhabi and France.

The agreement creates a framework to connect businesses across the two markets, helping companies explore investment opportunities, access new markets, and establish partnerships that support growth and competitiveness.

CCI France UAE, the French Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, represents more than 550 French, Francophone, and UAE-based companies.

The agreement was signed during the second UAE-France Business Forum, held under the theme “Voices of AI.” Organized by CCI France UAE with the support of Abu Dhabi Chamber and in partnership with Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, the forum brought together investors, entrepreneurs, technology leaders, academics, and decision-makers from the UAE, France, Europe, and the wider Middle East.

Under the partnership, the two organizations will collaborate on business forums, conferences, workshops, networking events, trade missions, and official delegations. It will also facilitate connections between companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders in Abu Dhabi and France.

The agreement places particular emphasis on future-focused sectors, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, SMEs, innovation, and sustainability.

“At Abu Dhabi Chamber, we are working to enable businesses of all sizes to participate in the AI-enhanced economy and benefit from the opportunities it creates,” said Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Chamber.

Al Marzooqi said the agreement would establish a more integrated framework between the two organizations, supporting joint business initiatives, cooperation in priority economic sectors, trade missions, business connections, and the exchange of expertise.

He added that the Chamber aims to turn cooperation between businesses in Abu Dhabi and France into joint ventures, investments, and practical solutions while helping companies develop capabilities and expand into global markets.

Agnès Lopez Cruz, Director of CCI France UAE, said the agreement provides a practical framework for strengthening communication between the two business communities and connecting companies with opportunities in both markets.

She added that the Voices of AI forum provides a platform for innovators, investors, and institutions from both countries to contribute to developing a sustainable and globally competitive AI ecosystem.

The partnership comes as Abu Dhabi accelerates its push to position itself as a global hub for innovation and the digital economy. Under the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025–2027, the emirate is working toward becoming the world’s first fully AI-native government.

For French companies and startups, Abu Dhabi’s growing ecosystem of technology, research, investment, and talent could provide a platform for developing and scaling AI solutions while accessing opportunities across the UAE and the wider region.

The agreement also complements Abu Dhabi Chamber’s efforts to accelerate technology adoption across the private sector. Through initiatives including its collaboration with Presight, the Chamber is working to strengthen AI capabilities among Abu Dhabi businesses and encourage the adoption of technologies that can improve productivity and competitiveness.

The partnership is expected to support the development of joint programs and initiatives and to create new channels for trade, investment, and business cooperation between Abu Dhabi and France.
