From advancing nanomaterial research to promoting scientific leadership, Israa Othman is a committed and dynamic young scientist in chemistry. As a PhD candidate working on quantum-dot-based photocatalysts for sustainable CO₂ conversion, she has secured multiple competitive grants to support her work on solar-driven fuel production.

In addition to her research achievements, Othman serves as President of the American Chemical Society student chapter at Khalifa University, where she actively mentors and engages the next generation of scientists. Passionate about harnessing nanoscience for environmental impact, she strives to translate laboratory innovation into practical contributions toward cleaner energy and a more sustainable future.
