Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Saudi Arabia reached $42.4 billion in 2025, marking a 33.5% increase compared with 2024. The Kingdom’s FDI stock also grew by 8.3% to $282.4 billion, reflecting continued growth in foreign investment.

The figures highlight the expansion of FDI in Saudi Arabia over recent years. In 2025, foreign investment inflows were five times their 2017 level, while the total FDI stock doubled over the same period.

Between 2017 and 2025, FDI inflows recorded a compound annual growth rate of 24%, compared with 10% for FDI stock.

The growth comes amid economic and structural changes introduced under Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s national strategy to diversify its economy and reduce its reliance on oil revenues.

These efforts include improving the investment environment, expanding opportunities for domestic and international investors, and attracting foreign capital across different sectors.

Saudi Arabia has continued to position itself as an investment destination as it works toward its Vision 2030 objectives. Increasing foreign direct investment is a key part of these efforts, alongside expanding domestic investment and attracting capital that supports economic diversification and long-term growth.
