Hatem Dowidar is a telecommunications and technology leader who has guided e& through a major transformation from a traditional telecom provider into a diversified global technology group. He joined the company in 2015 as Group Chief Operating Officer, became Chief Executive Officer, International in 2016, and was appointed Group CEO in 2020. Under his leadership, e& now operates across 38 markets, expanding its reach while strengthening brand value, employee experience, and stakeholder engagement.

Dowidar has driven strategic partnerships and collaborations that advance digital empowerment and innovation across the Middle East and Africa. Before e&, he held senior roles at Vodafone, including CEO of Vodafone Egypt, CEO of Vodafone Malta, and Regional Director of Emerging Markets. He began his career at AEG/Deutsche Aerospace and Procter & Gamble in Egypt. Dowidar serves on multiple corporate boards, including Vodafone Group, Mobily, Maroc Telecom, and Etisalat Misr, and participates in global industry forums such as the GSMA and the UN Internet Governance Forum.
