To boost the innovation ecosystem, the Competitiveness Office of Abu Dhabi (COAD), part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), has collaborated with Dubai-based Prototype Interactive to support inventors.

This joint effort will help inventors develop breakthrough digital and technological solutions that will benefit the economy, according to the press statement.

The partnership would allow innovators to obtain the necessary expertise and receive professional training through well-equipped facilities and workshops. Backed by ADDED’s Takamul program, inventors will construct, design, and develop digital and technology applications by gaining access to the Prototype’s latest technologies and techniques.

“Our proprietary methodology has been used by hundreds of organizations and startups to launch digital transformation programs and has proven effective, fast, and agile. We see this being in line with the vision of ADDED and its program participants,” said Alexander Rauser, CEO of Prototype.

Since its inception until the end of October 2022, the Takamul program has examined 1,013 patent applications and backed 377 applications that met the standards for patent registration.

“We are on the constant lookout for best-in-class partners to enhance capabilities of inventors and innovators and ensure they have suitable environment, including space and equipment required for discovery and development of their innovations and inventions,” Hala Al Ameri, Executive Director of the Competitiveness Office of Abu Dhabi (COAD), said.
